Eco Friendly Ink – Great for the Environment and for Your Printing Needs

Print companies who strive to make the world a better place are always on the lookout for products that will significantly reduce their ecological footprint. If you are in the screen printing industry, one thing you can do to contribute to the preservation of our environment is to use water based inks that are eco-friendly and safe for you and your staff.

Colormaker Industries has been researching, developing and refining surface coatings products since 1958. Because of our passion for developing new products that will have a positive impact on the screen print industry, we have developed innovative products such as eco-friendly inks for screen printing.

eco friendly inkFor years, screen printing has consumed tonnes of inks that are not exactly safe for consumers and workers in the print industry. These products contain PVC resins and phthalate plasticisers that can cause a number of health problems. However, with the development of safe and environmentally friendly textile inks, printers and consumers can now breathe easier.

Introducing the Permaset range of environment-friendly inks – Permaset Aqua regular (transparent) water based inks provide superior performance and vibrant colour, along with soft hand feel for comfort of the finished printed products, safety and environmental sustainability; Permaset Aqua Supercover inks specifically designed to provide excellent opacity on dark fabrics. Completing the range are Permaprint Premium inks which are water-based inks suited to printing on sealed paper, cardboard, tyvek, polyesters (mylar), polycarbonates (lexan), some coated metals and poly-styrene; and finally the Permatone ink range which is a colour management set designed for colour matching corporate colours. Each of these products in the Permaset range is 100% solvent free, an assurance that you, that workers and your customers are safe from toxic chemicals that can be dangerous to one’s health.
